JoAnn Rudlong

JoAnn Lorraine Rudlong, 63, of Austin, died Monday afternoon, Dec. 28, 2009, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home. 
She was born March 21, 1946 to John and Lorraine (Cline) Nuss in West Union, Iowa, where she grew up and graduated from high school. She moved to Minnesota and became licensed as an X-ray technician, employed by Olmsted Medical Center. JoAnn was a strong advocate of women’s health issues. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and sports.
Survivors include two sons, Shad (Anne) Rudlong of Blooming Prairie and Steffen (Michele) Rudlong of Colton, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Jake, Hunter, Alexa and Gracie; two brothers, James (Joyce) Nuss of Tripoli, Iowa and Gene (Jane) Nuss of Hawkeye, Iowa; two sisters, Jane (Wayne) Voelker of Ferryville, Wisconsin and Betty Koenig of Elwood, Neb.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 
She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Clarence.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Worlein Funeral Home, Austin, is in charge of arrangements.
