Even a season with some nagging injuries early and a lot of attention throughout the season, UW-Stout defensive end Marcus Ball, a senior from Austin, earned D3football.com first team All-America honors.

In nine games, Ball compiled 12.5 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks this season, despite seeing double teams throughout the season. Ball forced three fumbles and had an interception. Ball is a two-time first team all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) selection.

Ball recorded his first and only career interception and returned that for a 14-yard touchdown against UW-Platteville. Ball also played in three games as a blocking fullback and did carry the ball once.
