Spend Thanksgiving with Martin Zellar

Martin Zellar returns to the Paramount Theatre on Turkey Day this year for his annual Thanksgiving Concert.
The popular Austin native has returned to his hometown the past several years for a concert the Saturday after Thanksgiving — but this year he decided to mix it up by taking the stage on the actual holiday.
“I think it will be a great performance,” said Paramount Theatre operations manager Scott Anderson.
“People can come down and shake off their meals,” he added.
Zellar performs solo Nov. 26. Many people know him as lead singer and guitarist of the Gear Daddies, a country-rock band that was formed in Minneapolis with fellow Austinites Nick Ciola, Billy Dankert and Randy Broughten.
Zellar went on to record and perform as a solo artist and with his band the Hardways. The Gear Daddies still perform together about once a year.
Zellar currently lives in Central Mexico with his wife and children. They welcomed the latest member of the family, a baby girl named Clementine just a few weeks ago, Anderson said.
Tickets are available at the Paramount Theatre box office, 125 Fourth Ave. NE.
