Patricia Wendroth-Merriot

Patricia E. Wendroth-Merriott, 67, of Austin, died Monday afternoon, Nov. 16, 2009 at her home in Austin.
 
She was born March 1, 1942 to Burt and Myrtle (Warner) Shadrick in Sherburn, Minn. Patricia grew up in Eden Valley and lived in St. Peter for many years, before moving to Austin where she worked as a nursing assistant at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home for 15 years. She was a dedicated worker, always making sure her work got done. Known as “Mom” by numerous friends, Patricia loved scrapbooking and taking care of her flowers in the garden.

She was the loving mother of Tammi (Brian) Bustad of Rose Creek; Terri Wendroth of Liberty; N.C., James S. (Anne) Wendroth of Kasota; Danial (Shelly) Wendroth of Austin; Penni (Patrick) Nelson of Austin; and Patsi (Matthew) Belden of Austin. 

Also surviving are 21 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Edwin (Gracie) Archer of Adrian, Willis (Ruby) Archer of St. Peter, Dennis (Dee) Archer of Eagle River, Alaska, Dale (Lois) Archer of Loveland, Colo., Randall (Gellie) Archer of Loveland, Colo.; sister, Bev Archer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives; and friends including special friends, James C. and Karen Wendroth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother, May Warner; stepfather, Danial Archer.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. Friends may greet the family for one hour prior to the service. Interment of ashes will be at a later date.
