Eden Prairie, MN – Minnesota Vikings Owner/Chairman Zygi Wilf, along with WR Sidney Rice and TE Visanthe Shiancoe, will visit Austin, MN, on Tuesday, November 24, as part of the Vikings “You Made The Team” Community Tour.

Wilf, Rice and Shiancoe will make their first stop at the Austin YMCA (704 1st Dr. NW) from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. to encourage children to be physically active with the “What Moves U” childhood fitness program. The program, established by the American Heart Association and the National Football League and in conjunction with the NFL’s Play 60 initiative, strives to teach kids the importance of being physically active for 60 minutes a day. The curriculum helps teachers incorporate physical activities into all courses, not just physical education class. Rice, Shiancoe, and Vikings cheerleaders will demonstrate with students some of these activities, such as football training exercises.

Following the YMCA appearance, team personnel will attend a luncheon hosted by the Vikings and the Austin Chamber of Commerce at the Hormel Historic Home (208 4th Ave. NW) from 11:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Wilf and Vikings Vice President of Public Affairs Lester Bagley will address a crowd of civic and business leaders about the team’s passion for giving back to local communities. KFAN host and Vikings play-by-play announcer Paul Allen will then conduct a Q&A on the Vikings exciting season with Wilf, Rice and Shiancoe. The team will conclude the event by giving away autographed jerseys, footballs and tickets.
