The Austin girls hockey team dropped a 5-2 contest at Rochester John Marshall Saturday.
The Packers (0-1-1 overall, 0-1 Big Nine) got two goals from Abby Gallaher, but they couldn’t produce enough offense against JM’s Michelle Bonapace-Potvin, who had 23 saves.
“She’s one of the best goalies in the state,” Austin head coach Denny Bray said. “But we had our chances. We left a lot of pucks out in front that should’ve went in and we didn’t skate as well today as we did against Northfield.”
Austin goalie Audrey DeVries had 28 saves.
