OFFENSE

QB — Luc Zellmer, Blooming Prairie

The sophomore had a huge season for the Awesome Blossoms (11-2 overall) as he completed 53 percent of his passes (134-for-254) for 2,256 yards, 34 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also had 332 rushing yards (2.8 per carry), and six rushing TDs.

RB — Jerrad Ryks, Austin

The senior All -Big Nine back ran for 1,288 yards (6.3 per carry), and 18 touchdowns, while catching 15 passes for 113 yards for the Packers (4-6 overall). It is the second consecutive year Ryks has run for 1,000 yards and at least 15 TDs.

RB — Michael Gehling, Grand Meadow

The speedy senior back ran for 1,262 yards (7.1 per carry), while scoring 22 TDs. He also led the Superlarks (10-2 overall) in receiving with 28 catches for 577 yards (20.6 yards per catch) and 12 TDs.

WR — Alan May, Southland

The junior wideout caught 36 passes for 687 yards (19.1 per catch) with 12 touchdowns for Southland (8-2 overall). He had the second most receiving yards in the Three Rivers Conference and was fourth in the conference for scoring. May was voted the Rebels MVP on offense and he was also on the All-Three Rivers team.

WR — Cooper Nelson, Blooming Prairie

The 6-4, 213-pound junior pulled down plenty of jump balls for BP, grabbing 44 catches for 821 yards (18.7 per catch) and 15 touchdowns.

TE — Bobby Astrup, Austin

The senior was a big target in the middle for the Packers as he hauled in 19 passes for 213 yards (11.2 per catch) and two scores. Astrup was on the All-Big Nine team.

OL — David Schotanus, Southland

The 6-2, 240-pound senior was voted Rebels team MVP and Three Rivers South offensive lineman of the year and he dominated opposing defensive fronts all year long for the Rebels. Southland head coach Shawn Kennedy said Schotanus is “one of the best leaders I ever coached.”

OL — Scott Wilson, Grand Meadow

The 6-1, 253-pound junior paved the way for most of the big plays the Superlarks made on their way to the state tournament this season.

OL — Joe Diggins, Austin

The senior was a fiery leader in the locker room and a force on the offensive line that helped pave the way for Ryks.

OL — Aaron Krejci, Blooming Prairie

The bruising 5-11, 248-pound senior did the dirty work in the middle of the line to clear out some big runs for BP and provide Zellmer with a lot of time to throw.

OL — Brady Klingfus, Austin

The senior left tackle was a hard worker for the Packers and he paved the way for some long runs as well as providing solid pass blocking.

DEFENSE

S — Cole Adams, Austin

The junior defensive back led Austin with three interceptions. He also had 34 tackles and one fumble recovery.

S — Michael Gehling, Grand Meadow

The senior ball hawk picked off seven passes while leading GM with 107 total tackles.

CB — Justen Ingvalson, Blooming Prairie

The senior did it all for BP. As a defensive back, he had four interceptions, 30 solo tackles and 41 assisted tackles. He also caught 32 passes for 584 yards (18.3 per catch) and five scores, while returning 17 punts for 407 yards (23.9 per return) and three scores.

CB — Alan May, Southland

The junior corner picked off six passes to lead the Three Rivers Conference, and he also had 60 tackles and one fumble recovery.

LB — Anthony Condit, Austin

The sophomore stepped up in his first year as a starter, making the second most tackles for Austin (53), while getting a sack, an interception and two fumble recoveries.

LB — Brady Stier, Lyle/Pacelli

The senior defender had 72 solo tackles, 38 assists and three sacks for the Athletics (1-8 overall).

LB — Jeff Hagstrom, Blooming Prairie

The senior compiled 41 solo tackles, 70 assisted tackles, four sacks, and 12.5 tackles for a loss.

DL — Mike Hirsch, Austin

The senior All Big Nine defensive end was once again a beast for the Pack, leading the team with 11 sacks and 61 tackles. He also recovered one fumble.

DL — Mitch Morem, Austin

The senior defensive tackle was a force in the middle, getting 31 tackles, four sacks and one interception.

DL — Dan Willert, Blooming Prairie

The 6-3, 246 pound senior had 7.5 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks, 11 solo tackles and 46 assisted tackles. He also blocked two P.A.T.’s in the Blossoms’ 21-20 win over Goodhue in the Section 1A title game.

DL — Nic Poshusta, Southland

The senior had 173 tackles, six sacks and four fumble recoveries for the Rebels.

HONORABLE MENTION

Sam Noterman, QB, Southland

The junior completed 55 percent of his passes (74-for-135) for 1,298 yards (17.5 per completion) with 12 touchdowns and just one interception. He ran for 240 yards (3.5 per carry) and was on the all Three Rivers South team.

Caleb Leichtnam, QB/S, Grand Meadow

The junior quarterback threw for 775 yards (54 completion percentage) with 12 TDs and six interceptions. He also used his speed and quickness to rush for 1,554 yards (8.2 per carry) and 21 scores. As a safety, he had 89 total tackles and six interceptions.

Braaden Ducharme, LB, Hayfield

The senior was a force in the middle of the defense for Hayfield (1-8 overall). He led the Vikings in tackles (61) and tackles for a loss (8.5).

Tanner Kramer, CB, Hayfield

The senior defensive back made 26 tackles (1.5 for a loss), while breaking up four passes.

Tyler Bentzin, DE, Austin

The senior had 22 tackles and a sack for the Packers.
