Despite a late summer, Mother Nature has dropped early winter weather on Austin.

Temperatures plunged over the weekend, as low as 25 Sunday, and a blanket of snow began to form Monday morning throughout Mower County.

It’s not supposed to last, however.

Temperatures are expected to warmup into the 40s this week and could get close to 60 by the weekend.

Lows will range from 26 to 38.
