Mabel Adele (Sampson) Cafourek, 95, of Austin, died Monday afternoon, Oct, 12, 2009 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home.

An active member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and civic organizations, Mabel earned a 35-year pin for her volunteer work as a Red Cross Gray Lady, was past president of the St. Olaf Hospital Auxiliary, vice president of League of Women Voters, chairwoman of Mothers’ March of Dimes, and she was involved in AARP. She had no children of her own, but she took pride in her family and was loved by them in return.
