The Grand Meadow volleyball team had its season end when it lost to Lewiston/Altura 23-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-23 in GM Monday.

The No. 7 seeded Superlarks (18-12 overall) couldn’t close out a couple of very close games at the end of the match.

“We had way too many unforced errors both serving and hitting,” GM head coach Michael Keefe said. “We were in every game, it was just a few small things that could have turned the advantage our way. It was a great season and I was lucky to coach such a great group of girls.”

GM was led by senior hitter Abbie Fay, who had 13 kills, senior setter Kristine Gerber had 17 assists and six blocks, Kristina Stier had four aces, Alex Swanson had four blocks, and Maria Chavez was 13-for-13 on serves.

L/A (12-16 overall) was led by Jenny Mundt, who had 22 kills and three blocks.
