Daniel Wayne Diaz, 52, passed away Oct. 10, 2009 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, due to complications from lung disease.

Dan worked construction for several years as a superintendent, also as an off shore oil rigger in the 1980s. Dan was also self employed.

Dan would give the shirt off of his back to anybody, and he had a great sense of humor.

Dan is survived by his three daughters, Kristin (James) Moos, Colorado Springs, Colo, Danielle and Brittney of Castaic, Calif; grandchildren, Zach and Desere; and his dogs Jake and Baby.

He also leaves behind Maria Diaz, his best friend and companion; siblings, Virginia (Bob-F.H.) Berg, Austin; Mike (Julie) Diaz, Austin, Lori (Kat) and her friend (Bob Todd) Austin, Chris (Hugh) Whalen, Austin, Tony (M.J.) Diaz, Wyoming, Rick (Rita) Diaz, Austin; and many nieces and nephews.

Dan was preceded in death by his mother Norma Diaz; and his two sisters Lisa Diaz and Joanie Diaz.
Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Dan’s life on October 17, 2009 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Diaz home in Lansing.
