The BP boys team took second and the girls took seventh at the Gopher Conference meet in at Lake Crystal Tuesday.

The second place finish was the best for the Blossom boys since 1999, as they scored 110 points, while Martin County West took first with 20.

“One big goal that we achieved was beating WEM/JWP tonight,” BP head coach John Bruns said. ”They had beaten us by fifteen last week at the USC meet, so it was nice to be ahead of them by twenty-two tonight.”

The BP boys had one All-Gopher Conference runner in Adam Driessen, who took 14th, while Jake Elwood and Tim Boecker were honorable mention. The girls team placed two runners on the honorable mention list, Jenna Paulson and Kendra Boecker.
