For the third straight season, the Blooming Prairie football team is headed to the Section 1A title game.

The No. 1 seeded Awesome Blossoms plowed past No. 4 Fillmore Central 35-13 in BP Saturday.

They will host No. 2 Goohue (7-3 overall) Friday in BP (9-1 overall) for the section title.

On Saturday, Fillmore scored first, but Aaron Niles pulled off a 12-yard touchdown run and Gabe Kartes had a 14-yard scamper to put the Blossoms up 14-7.

BP quarterback Luc Zellmer threw three more scores to put it away.

The Blossoms racked up 270 yards on the ground, while holding the Falcons to just 76 rushing yards.
