Theoni Lecakis

Theoni Lecakis, age 89 of Austin, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009 at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center in Austin.
 She was born Jan. 1, 1920 in St. Paul to Aristo and Antonia (Douklias) Kolokythias.  Her family moved back to Greece when she was 9 months old. In 1948, she returned to the United States and married William Lecakis in 1950.  Together they opened the Town House restaurant in 1958, where she worked until her retirement in 1986.  Theoni was an avid swimmer and enjoyed baking pastries and gardening.
 Theoni was a member of the Holy Anargyrol Greek Orthodox Church, the Daughters of Penelope, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Unity Chapter No. 29. 
Theoni is survived by her sons: Anthony (Nereida) Lecakis, Austin, and Constantine “Deno” (Alicja) Lecakis, Austin; grandchildren: William (Carria) Lecakis, Theoni (Nick) Limouris; step-grandchildren: Joseph Masters, Jennifer Belchine, great-grandchildren: Isabella Limouris, Dennis Limouris, and Constantine Lecakis; step-great-grandchildren: Gabriella Belchine, Devon Masters, and Owen Masters, sisters: Alexandra Kokalaris, Austin, and Vasso Pittouras, Patras, Greece; brothers: Xristo Kolokythias, Patras, Greece and Nicholas (Ann) Kolas, Rochester, Minn.; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Lecakis, sisters, Angela “Lilly” and Kalliroy, brothers, Anastasio, George and Soterious, “Sam.”
 Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel with Father Mark Munoz of Holy Anargyrol Greek Orthodox Church of Rochester officiating.  Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.  Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Friday for one hour before the service.  There will be an Eastern Star Service on Thursday at 7:45 p.m.
