Superlarks cruise past Cardinals

The Grand Meadow football team came on strong early in a 44-14 win in LeRoy/Ostrander Thursday night in the season opener for both teams.
The Superlarks (1-0 overall) scored 38 points in the first half and never faltered.
“With just two returning seniors, we have eight guys playing both ways,” L/O head coach Aaron Hungerholt said. “Brennan Mensink was a leader for us on both sides of the ball.”
Mensink had 15 tackles to go with his 101 yards and a score on 16 carries. Dylan Mackey went 10-for-17 with 101 yards, a touch down and an interception for L/O, and Jesse Rannells had two catches for 73 yards and a score.
