The Austin volleyball team struggled with something they normally do well with in a 25-23, 25-12, 25-20 loss at Rochester John Marshall Thursday.

The Packers (2-10 overall, 1-3 Big Nine) had trouble pulling in the Rockets’ serves.

“They really served aggressively and that’s the one thing we struggled with tonight,” Austin head coach Darica Schneider said. “That’s normally a strength for us, but we couldn’t get the ball were it needed to be to set up our hitters.”

Ashley Follmuth led the Packers with 23 serve receives, Bri Mayer had eight kills, Emily Weiss had six kills Robin Arjes had four kills, Jenna Svoboda had seven assists, Julia Wagner had eight digs, and Jenny Soiney was 10-for-10 on serves with an ace and 10 digs.
