Lyle Himle

Lyle Delano Himle, 77, of Hayfield, died Sept. 1, 2009 at Fieldcrest Care Center in Hayfield. He was born June 29, 1932 in Vernon Township Dodge County, Minn. to Arnold and Myrtle (Senjem) Himle.
Lyle graduated from Hayfield High School in 1951. He married Delores Hewlett on Aug. 18, 1957 in Hayfield. Lyle and Delores lived in Austin, where Lyle worked for Weyerhaeuser Corrugated Containers for 27 years and also farmed and worked as an auctioneer for 12 years. The couple moved to Hayfield in 2003.
Lyle is survived by his wife, Delores, Hayfield; one brother, Larry (Diane) Himle, Hayfield; one sister, Barbara (Harland) Broin, Rochester; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 at West St. Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Hayfield, with the Revs. Darby Lawrence and Glenn Monson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday, Sept. 4, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield and one hour prior to the church service on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to West St. Olaf Cemetery Fund or Austin Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Building Fund.
