Lois Young

Lois Jean Young, 66 of Austin, died Saturday evening, September 19, 2009 at her home. Lois was born on October 2, 1942 to James and Arlene (Moyer) Parr in Scribner, Nebraska where she grew up and married William Young on October 2, 1965. She became a homemaker while William was working with Hormel Foods all over the United States. For the past 18 years the couple made their home in Austin where Lois belonged to the Circle at Grace Lutheran Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, William of Austin; two sons, Travis Young of Roswell, New Mexico and Boyd (Michelle) Young of Minneapolis; one daughter, Angelique (Daniel) Howell of Ames, Iowa; two grandsons, Curtis and Cole; siblings, Patsy Kelly of Hebron, Nebraska; Dianne (Daniel) Barber of Denver, Colorado; LeAnn (Keith) Wisnieski of David City, Nebraska; Bonnie (Dale) Christiansen of Pender, Nebraska; Lisa (Keith) Worley of Hastings, Nebraska and Karolyn (Vince) Streeter of Columbia, South Carolina; mother-in-law, Linea Young of Oakland, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Rhonda Parr.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Grace Lutheran Church in Austin, Minnesota with Pastor Jeff Forbes officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Interment is at Oakwood Cemetery, Austin. Memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church, Austin. Worlein Funeral Home, Austin, is in charge of arrangements.
