Linda Watts

Linda Watts, age 66, of LeRoy, Minn., died early Friday morning at Wildwood Grove in LeRoy.
Linda was born May 26, 1943 in New Jersey to John and Marie Groen and moved to Austin with her family when she was young. She attended Austin Public Schools and graduated in 1961. On Oct. 4, 1963 she was united in marriage to Bob Watts and together they were involved in the Plaza Restaurant at the Pure Oil Truck Stop and the Stardust Night Club in Austin. In 1970 Linda and Bob moved to LeRoy and purchased the Travel Inn.
They operated the Travel Inn from 1970 until shortly after Bob’s death in 2003. Linda enjoyed bingo and going to the casino. She loved to dance and loved working at the Travel Inn with her husband.
She is survived by two sons, Todd Watts, LeRoy, Minn. and Troy Watts and special friend, Nicole Audemore, Riceville, Iowa; a stepson, Scott (Christine) Greenamayer, Orange County, Calif.; seven grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Toni Watts; and a brother and sister-in-law, Kermit and Melodie Watts, of Austin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in February of 2003, her brother; John, and a step-daughter Kim.
Funeral services for Linda Lee Watts will be held at 2 p.m. Monday Sept. 14, 2009 at the LeRoy Lutheran Church in LeRoy with the Rev. Elaine Siemsen officiating. Burial will be in the LeRoy Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hindt Funeral Home on Sunday evening Sept. 13, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
