William P. Pesch, 63
William Paul Pesch, 63, of Stewartville, Minn., died on July 27, at his home.
He was born on March 29, 1946 in Austin, to George and Irene (Thein) Pesch. He grew up in Rose Creek and Austin and graduated from Austin High School in 1964. He was employed at I.B.M. in Rochester, Minn. before entering the U.S. Army, serving overseas in Vietnam in the military police. He was married in July 1966 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin to Connie L. Bahls. They were later divorced. Following their marriage the couple lived in Rochester, Stewartville and Racine, Minn., before moving to Florida. He was a long-time employee of I.B.M before his early retirement in 1991 due to his health. He returned to the Rochester area and had been living in Stewartville for the past 10 years. He had enjoyed raising and riding horses, gardening and doing handyman projects at his home and for his friends.
Survivors include his daughter, Shaanan (James) Sullivan, Hanover, Minn.; two grandsons, Jesse and Jared; special friend, Vada Seahorn; two sisters, Mary (Dick) Pacholl, Austin, Rose Flagg of Blaine, Minn.; two brothers, Donald (Jane) Pesch, Austin and Gerald (Cheryl Pesch, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Glenn, Richard, Robert and an infant brother.
The committal service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Rose Creek with Father Reuben Spinler officiating. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. on Saturday at Griffin-Gray Funeral Home in Stewartville. Griffin-Gray Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
