Margaret (Pete) Walser, 80
Margaret (Pete) Walser, 80, of Stacyville, Iowa passed away on Aug. 3, 2009 at Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage, Iowa. 
Pete was born Feb. 12, 1929, to Paul A. (Curly) and Selma Staloch, in Freeborn, Minn. She attended St. Casimir School in Wells, Minn. She received her x-ray technician training at Miller Hospital in St. Paul.
Pete married Robert Walser on July 12, 1952. She worked at the Medical Arts Building in St. Paul while Robert received his veterinary medicine degree from the University of Minnesota.
They came to Stacyville, Iowa on July 1, 1954. Their family included a son and four daughters. Pete was a homemaker and contributed to the community in numerous ways.
 Pete is survived by her husband, Robert; four daughters, Ann (Gene), Wells, Minn., Karen (Daniel), Negaunee, Mich., Joan (Mark) Juneau, Ark., Mary (Brennan), Iowa City, Iowa; grandchildren, Charles (Sarah) DeRoche, Stacy (Tim) Shaker, Daniel (Jesy) DeRoche, Preston Kalis; great-grandchildren, Charles and Ella DeRoche; sisters, Lil Jensen, Wells, Minn., Karen (Chuck) Hoeg, Wabasha, Minn.; brothers, Quentin Staloch, Minnesota Lake, Minn., Robert (Sherry) Staloch, Freeborn, Minn.
 Pete was preceded in death by her parents; son, Paul; sisters, Jean Hajdu, Eunice Overby; sister-in-law, Connie Staloch; brothers-in-law, Norris Overby and Donald (Doc) Jensen.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, 2009 at Visitation Catholic Church, Stacyville, with the Reverend John Moser officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar is in charge of arrangements.
