The Austin Greyhounds lost the last game of the regular season at Elko 9-3 Wednesday night.
The Hounds (13-15 overall) threw six different pitchers and rotated their lineup around throughout the night as they were preparing for a playoff game against the Rochester Royals at Mayo Field Sunday night at 7 p.m.
“We’re just trying to get tuned up and we got a lot of pitchers work,” Hounds manager John Frein said. “It was musical chairs out there in the field.”
Elko scored seven times in the second inning to take an early lead.
