Farmer’s Market moving to pool parking lot

The farmer’s market will be moving from Main Street to the Austin Municipal Pool parking lot on Thursdays from 4 to 6 p.m., beginning this week.

As the Mi Tierra fire cleanup progresses over the next few weeks, there will be excessive work and construction clogging Main Street.

“Farmer John” Ulland said they are moving in order “to get away from the dust, debris, noise and congestion downtown.”

The farmer’s market should be back to its normal location on Main Street by the end of September.

Tomatoes, sweet corn, potatoes, onions and squash are a few popular items being sold now, along with eggs, baked goods, honey and craft items.

The farmer’s market will continue to be held at the Oak Park Mall on Mondays from 4 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m. It runs through the end of October.
