The annual Austin Youth Hockey golf tournament will be held Saturday, August 22 at Meadow Greens golf course.

The golfing begins at noon for the event which netted approximately $8,000 last year.

This is one of the largest fundraisers for AYH and it continues to grow every year.

Local businesses have been very involved in funding and supporting this golf tournament and it would not have the success that it has without their support.

“The community really gets involved; from fundraising, participating and volunteering at the golf tournament,” said AYH PR director Mary Svoboda. “Everyone involved has a great time and a very good meal.”

Last year there were 100 golfers that participated in the tournament and AYH hopes to match or exceed that this year. The tournament is followed by a steak dinner.  The proceeds of the golf tournament help fund and support our local youth hockey program.
