A regional narcotics task force executed a search warrant in Mapleview Wednesday and made two arrests.

A 37-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man are in Mower County custody after the Southeast Minnesota Narcotics and Gang Task Force searched 120 Clinton St. around 8 a.m. and recovered small amounts of methamphetamine and marijuana.

The woman was home during the search and arrested; the man was arrested at another residence.

Sheriff Terese Amazi said the department had received a number of complaints about the two, tipping off the search.

Amazi said the two did not appear to be making meth or growing marijuana, and further arrests in the case are unlikely.

The Southeast Minnesota Narcotics and Gang Task Force is made up off a number of regional police departments and sheriff’s offices, including the Austin Police Department.

Charges against the two have not been filed but are expected Thursday.
