A 28-year-old Albert Lea man reported that someone entered his Red Rock Township property, drove his truck around and stole a camera.

Adam King notified the Mower County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday that his 1988 Chevrolet had been moved and a $500 camera was missing from his garage. A few other items had been disturbed, but nothing else was reported stolen. The truck received some damage, including a broken exhaust pipe.

No one was at the property, located at 57075 225th St. northeast of Austin, but some nearby residents told authorities they had seen a few younger men in the area, though it is unclear if that is related.

The sheriff’s report also did not indicate if the garage was broken into or if it was left open. The truck had keys left inside.

Chief deputy Mark May said an investigation is ongoing.
