A new event will be featured this weekend at Summerfest, which begins today and culminates Sunday with the Grand Parade.
The LeRoy Garden Club will be sponsoring garden tours from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, city clerk Patty White said. Maps will be available at the American Dairy Association Malt Stand and the post office.
Garden tour participants are:
Darlene Hansen, 713 North Broadway Ave.
Marlys and Bob Sutherland, 112 West Cabot St.
Glenn and Deloryce Johnson, 108 East Benton Ave.
Pat and Gerry Utz, 202 West Read St.
Judy Jasper, 76594 115th St.
Waldo Bucknell, 11550 State Highway 56
Summerfest events running throughout the weekend include $1-per-game bowling at Travel Lanes, the American Dairy Association Malt Wagon and craft and flea market at South Park.
White, who organizes most of the Summerfest events, said the same attraction draws visitors at every small-town celebration.
“The parade is the one thing that brings in the most people,” she said.
