Blue Sox beat Albert Lea

Everything went according to plan for the Blue Sox in a 12-5 win in an amateur baseball game in Albert Lea Friday night.
Austin (15-3 overall) picked up the win to end its two-game losing skid, and it emptied out its bench.
“We knew going in we wanted to get everyone their reps and get out of this funk,” Blue Sox manager Josh Kunze said. “We had beaten these guys earlier this year and we knew we were the better team. We were in control all night tonight.”
Ryan Palmer went five innings to get his third win of the season for Austin. He struck out six while allowing three earned runs.
“Ryan made some adjustments and it was good for him to get some confidence back,” Kunze said.
The Blue Sox will host their flapjack fundraiser at Applebee’s from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
