A temporary yard waste collection site has been created to assist City of Austin and Mower County residents with storm debris disposal. The site is located at the Elk River Concrete property, south of the entrance to Todd Park on 14th Street NE.

The yard waste site will be staffed and open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. through June 21.

This disposal site is for yard waste only, according to Paul M. Philipp, chief of police, and the maximum length for tree limbs is 10 ft.
