Vivian L. Johnson, 81
Vivian LaVerne Johnson, 81, of Rochester, Minn., formerly of Hayfield, Minn., died on June 27, 2009, at The Homestead Memory Care Unit in Rochester.
Vivian LaVerne Sollie was born on Aug. 28, 1927, in Fremont, Iowa the daughter of Otto and Bertha (Johnson) Sollie. She attended Austin High School. Vivian was united in marriage to Marshall Johnson on Oct. 20, 1945, in Austin. Vivian was a homemaker and was very active at Trinity Lutheran Church and the Hayfield Community. Vivian was a business partner with her husband, Marshall, engaged in crop farming and livestock production. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, baking, decorating and arranging flowers. She was very proud of her Norwegian Heritage.
Vivian is survived by one son, Duane (Sarah) Johnson, Byron, Minn.; four daughters, Linda (Lowell) Heydt, Lake Crystal, Minn., Tammy (Michael) Stevens, Hayfield, Robin (Michael) Brekke, Hartland, Minn., Bridget (Scott) Oslund, Lakeville, Minn.; four sisters, Lois Dolan, Austin, Mavis (Don) Bartley, Austin, Janice (Bob) Tucker, Rochester, Sue (Dale) Apold, Austin; two brothers, Jerry (Pat) Sollie, Las Vegas, Nev., David (Mary) Sollie, Aurora, Colo.; ten grandchildren, Nate and Meg Heydt, Kortney and Een Johnson, Brittany and Brady Stevens,  Mitch and Jenna Brekke, Bryce and Bennett Oslund; five great-grandchildren, Tenzin and Rilo Heydt, Elisabeth Pavone, Kylie Johnson and Maeva Weizel. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marshall Johnson, on Jan. 16, 1998; and one sister, Bonnie Larson.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 104 1st Street SE in Hayfield, with the Reverend Myrwood Bagne officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield and one hour before the service on Tuesday at the church.
