A 16-year-old suspect is in custody after he allegedly burglarized a home Saturday afternoon while delivering a newspaper.

A neighbor noticed the suspect enter the home, located on the 700 block of 10th Avenue SE, through a side door after putting the paper in the mailbox.

Reports indicate the resident was not a subscriber to the newspaper the suspect was delivering.

The neighbor called police while the suspect was inside and confronted him when he exited. Police arrived and arrested the juvenile, reporting $200 stolen.

Charges have yet to be filed, but could come Monday in Mower County. The 16-year-old is being held in Red Wing.
