Red Cross gets aid

The recent tornado that struck Austin has elicited aid from a number of community members and businesses.
Approximately 40 trained American Red Cross volunteers have stepped in to assess the damage and provide food and housing assistance for those affected by the tornado. As of 2 p.m. Thursday, the Red Cross delivered approximately 250 meals and snacks to victims of the tornado.
McDonalds, Usems, Home Depot, Target, Walmart and the Savory Skillet provided food, gloves and other items for relief work.
