Michael Moses Peterson, 33, of Byron, Minn., died on June 09, 2009, in Byron.
Michael was born on June 10, 1975 in Austin. He is the son of Jeffrey Peterson and Ruth (Clayton) Vale. He was baptized at the Brownsdale Catholic Church and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural Sargeant. Michael graduated in 1993, from Mayo High School in Rochester. He served in the United States Army from 1994 to 1996 in Hawaii. He was united in marriage to Marie Peterson and later divorced. He worked as a machine operator at Schmidt Printing in Byron from 1996 until the time of his death. He enjoyed his children, fishing, camping, exploring, music and was a freelance artist.
Michael is survived by his daughters, Abigail McCabe, Plainview, Minn., Kai-Mica Peterson and Trinity Peterson, both of Hayfield, Minn.; mother, Ruth (James) Vale, Wasioja, Minn.; father, Jeffrey Peterson, Hayfield; maternal grandparents, James (Jeanette) Clayton, Austin; paternal grandmother, Barbara Peterson, Hayfield; sisters, Anna Eidem, Sioux Falls, S.D. and Crystal Peterson, Red Wing, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather.
The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009, at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 28959 630th Ave., Sargeant, Minn. with the Reverend Ronald Prigge officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield, and one hour before the service at the church. Military honors will be by the Hayfield American Legion Rothie Post 330. Memorials are preferred to the family.
