Lorraine F. Sheedy, 90
Lorraine F. Sheedy, 90, of Austin, died on June 25, 2009 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home where she was a resident.
Lorraine was born June 14, 1919 in Hayfield, Minn. to Oscar and Gina Fossum. She graduated from Hayfield High School. On Nov. 19, 1945 she was united in marriage to Francis Sheedy at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin. He preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1984. Lorraine was a homemaker and a devoted farm wife.  She was also a member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Austin.
Survivors include a brother, Elmer Fossum, Austin; sister-in-law, Genevieve Reagan, Austin; nieces and nephews.
    In addition to her her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Frances; brother Leonard and wife Hazel Fossum; sisters, Myrtle and husband, Nobel Ausrud, Hazel and husband Art Anderson; sister-in-law, Lorraine Fossum; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lee and Blanche VanPelt, Leo and Helen Wehner, Dorothy and Leo Sheedy, Bernard Reagan.
    A funeral mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2009 at St. Edward’s Catholic Church with Father Joe Fogal officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at Mayer Funeral Home and also one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
