Jo Ann Stoddard, 73
Jo Ann Stoddard, 73, died in her home on Sunday, May 31, 2009.
Jo is the mother of Austin resident Alberta (Kevin) Jochumsen and grandmother of Krystal (Adrian) Merfeld, Kurt Jochumsen and Katherine Jochumsen, all of Austin, and Thomas Quates of Texas.
She was born and raised in rural Colorado in 1936. She married Samuel A. Stoddard of Colorado. They resided in Littleton, Colo. Samuel died in 2000.
She was an avid Colorado sports fan. She enjoyed traveling to the various locations where her children lived outside the state of Colorado.
She is survived by her six children: Alberta (Kevin) Jochumsen, Austin, Alfred (Tina) Stoddard, Alaska, Diana (Steve) Withem, Mass., Joyce Gallagher, Colorado, Dorathy (Jim) Schneider, Colorado, and Christopher Stoddard, Colorado; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Arthur (Judy) Thomas, Arizona, Richard (Faye) Thomas, Colorado, Lloyd Thomas, Colorado; two sisters-in-law: Eva Thomas, Arizon,a and Betty (Bill) Smith, Colorado; several cousins, aunts, uncles, numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother (Darrell Thomas); and three great-grandchildren. Memorial service are being held at Ascension Lutheran Church in Littleton on June 4, 2009 at 10 a.m. and burial at Ft. Logan Cemetery.
