Heidi J. Newell, 19
Heidi Jean Newell, 19, of Rochester, Minn., died on May 23, 2009 as the result of a car accident.
Heidi was born on Feb. 27, 1990 in Albert Lea, Minn. to Bruce and Rita (Willmert) Newell. Heidi was determined to receive her high school education and recently graduated from the Rochester Off Campus Charter High School. Heidi always had her fingernails done and enjoyed showing them off. She was a very social person, always smiling and laughing and she loved spending time with her two boys.
Survivors include her son, Landon Michael Hay, Rochester; fiance, Ricky Hay, Rochester; parents, Bruce and Julie Newell, Rochester; mother, Rita Seha, Rochester; brother, Corey Newell (significant other, Shari), Rochester; stepsister, Amanda Schuck (significant other, Jake Schmidt), Mankato, Minn.; maternal grandparents, Richard and Lorraine Willmert, Austin; paternal grandparents, Bill and Bonnie Newell, Austin; and her niece, Aubrey Newell, Rochester.
Heidi was preceded in death by her son, Carter Newell; brother, Raymond Milholland; stepfather, Terry Milholland; great-grandparents; and her uncle, Randy Willmert.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Bethel Lutheran Church with the Reverend Norm Wahl officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, June 5, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and also one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
