Everett T. Lunde, 98
Everett Theodore Lunde, 98, of Austin died on June 19, 2009 at Austin Medical Center in Austin.
He was born May 8, 1911 in Austin to Albert and Anne (Viste) Lunde. Everett graduated from Austin High School and began working for the George A. Hormel Co.  in Austin. He was married to Dorothy M. Matthews on May 15, 1937 at the Matthews family home in Austin. Everett worked for the Hormel for 47 years, ending his career as the Property Accountant at the time of his retirement in 1975. For 16 years the Lunde’s wintered in Arizona. He was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Austin, Fidelity Lodge #39 AF & AM, Austin Chapter #14 RAM, St. Bernard’s Commandry, the Osman Shrine Temple, and the Osman Temple Oriental Band and had been a past patron of the O.E.S. He was also a member of the Austin Elks Club, BPOE #414 for over 60 years. Among his hobbies, Everett enjoyed coin collecting, woodworking and photography and cameras.
Everett is survived by sons; Ralph (Barbara) Lunde, Montevideo, Minn., James (Gwen) Lunde, Minneapolis, Minn.; granddaughters, Virginia and Kenny  Mayne, Ipswich, Mass.,  Ann Margo Lunde, Montevideo, Minn., Sarah and Brian Larson, Hugo, Minn., Rachel and Kelly  Merta, Seattle, Wash.; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter;  nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy in 2002; brothers, Oscar and Kenny; sister, Frances and an infant sister.
 Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at The Christ Episcopal Church with Father Ben Scott and the Reverend Lynn Adwell officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. and for one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
