A man was charged Tuesday with two felonies for separate burglaries in the last two months.
Dean Hatfield, 23, from Austin, was arrested and charged for a April 30 break-in on the 2900 block of Sixth Avenue Southwest and a May 23 break-in on the 300 block of 24th Street Southwest. Police were led to Hatfield by a female acquaintance who was suspicious about items Hatfield had been bringing home.
Items stolen on April 30 include a credit card and clothing. On May 23, Hatfield allegedly took a Nintendo Wii gaming system and baseballs autographed by Hall of Famers Eddie Mathews and Bob Feller, among other items.
Some of the items have been returned and police are investigating whether Hatfield may have been involved with other open burglary cases.
