Carter A. Newell, 2
Carter Andrew Newell, 2, of Rochester, Minn. died on May 29, 2009 at St. Marys Hospital as a result of a car accident.
Carter was born on Nov. 30, 2006 in Rochester to Dan Aaland and Heidi Newell. Carter enjoyed watching “Sponge Bob Square Pants” and enjoyed playing with balls and dinosaurs. He loved working with Papa Terry in the garage, and juggling with Papa Bruce and sitting on the motorcycle. Carter and his cousin, Aubrey always enjoyed playing together.
The family donated Carter’s organs through Life Source so other children could benefit.
Survivors include his father, Dan Aaland, Rochester, Minn.; brother, Landon Hay, Rochester; maternal grandmother, Rita Seha, Rochester; maternal grandparents, Bruce and Julie Newell, Rochester; uncles, Corey and Jake; aunts, Shari and Amanda; cousin, Aubrey Newell, and his special friend, Dustin Solomon.
Carter was preceded in death by his mother, Heidi Newell; grandfather, Terry Milholland; uncle, Raymond Milholland; and great uncle, Randy Willmert.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Bethel Lutheran Church with the Reverend Norm Wahl officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, June 5, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and also one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
