Barbara J. Kath, 61
Barbara Jean Kath, 61, Lee‘s Summit, Mo., passed away June 13, 2009.
She was Born Oct. 2, 1947 in Austin, to John and Adeline (Boss) O’Marro. She married David Kath on Oct. 1, 1977. Her love for the outdoors included hunting, fishing and gardening. She was also an avid reader. Barb, along with her husband David, devoted their lives to day care and foster care until retiring in 2006.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 32 years, David; children, Laura Nelson, Lana Barthle, Tami DeYoung, Jeff Miklas, Jamie Miklas and Perrin Kath; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon (Walter) Blake; mother-in-law, Charlotte Kath; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Adeline O‘Marro; daughter, Nichole Kath; brother, Lanny O‘Marro; and father in-law, William Kath. She will be loved and missed by all that knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday June 18, at Zion Lutheran Church in Stewartville, Minn.
