The St. Olaf Lutheran Church Foundation scholarship committee announces 12 students from the church will each receive $1,000 scholarships.

To qualify, students had to have enough credits to be a college junior or higher, have at least a “C” grade point average and be a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church.

Recipients can only receive the scholarship twice.

The 2009 scholarships recipients and colleges of their choice are:

Jon Jacobson, Augsburg College; Partook Baskin, University of Minnesota; Brittany Alms, University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy; Erin Nelson, Luther College; Anne Erickson, Concordia College; Melissa Petersen, University of St. Thomas; Laura Nelson, Riverland Community College; Sophie Guyette, Luther College; Emily Barnett, Southwest State University; Nathan Wilson, Minnesota State University; Katelin Wilson, Luther College; and Kyle Nelson, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
