Waltham firefighters were called to the home of Brendon Emberson early Monday night for a shed fire.

Firefighters and Mower County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the home at 32330 550th Ave. at about 5:30 p.m. when a passerby reported seeing smoke coming from a shed on Emberson’s property according to Mower County Sheriff’s Department reports.

Emberson said he had been cutting wood and was returning with a wood splitter when he noticed the smoke.

When firefighters arrived on scene, the shed was fully engulfed and Emberson and his family were watching the fire in lawn chairs. Emberson told them not to put the fire out.

According to the report there was a bunch of wood in the shed.
