Riverland Community College’s house project is ready for public listing. Each year, Riverland’s carpentry technology and construction electrician students construct a home through a unique learning opportunity. Students build and wire the home under supervision and in cooperation with local sub-contractors. The home is available for sale to the public through a bidding process.

This year’s home is located on 1305 29th St. S.W. in Austin. The list price is $289,000.

Real estate agents will be welcome for touring the house today as well as prospective Carpentry and Construction Electrician program students and their parents. Riverland’s Admissions department will attend the event to sign any students up for one of the programs.

A public open house is scheduled for Sunday from 2 until 5 p.m. Individuals interested in potentially purchasing the home may view the property prior to this date through any Austin real estate agent. Public bids will be accepted starting on May 22.
