Maye E. Jensen, 89
Maye E. Jensen: daughter, sister, wife, sister in law, mother, advisor and friend, joined her late husband, Harry, on Dec. 22, 2008.
She was born Nov. 5, 1919 to John & Esther (Billiard) Vogt in Waseca, Minn. Maye was educated in Olivia, Minn. schools. She married Harry Jensen in September of 1938. The resided in Albert Lea, Minn. until Harry joined the war effort in Bremerton, Wash. They returned to Minnesota after World War II ended and lived in Albert Lea until they built a home in Austin in 1948. Maye worked at George A. Hormel and Co. in the steno pool. She was also a long time employee of The First National Bank of Austin, working in the check sorting department.
She is survived by sons, Michael (Martha) Jensen, Wichita, Kans, Dan (Sharon) Jensen, Seattle, Wash.; grandchildren, Michelle Jensen and Jill (Jimmy) Claphan, Wichita, Eric Jensen and Anna Jensen, Seattle, Wash.; great-grandchildren, Philip Jensen, Krysta Jensen and Dakota Ziesenis, all of Wichita; great-great-grandson, Jaylen Sellers, Wichita; sister, Barbara Emerson, Renville, Minn.; brothers, Paul (Edith)Vogt, Olivia, Minn., Myron (Valeria)Vogt, Port Ludlow, Wash. and numerous other relatives and friends.
 A memorial service will be held in Austin, at The Worlein Funeral Home on Saturday May 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. Maye wished to be remembered by the following verse and that “I  Did it my way”! I’d like my memory to be a happy one.
