Jeffrey O. Finseth, 56
Jeffrey Orvis Finseth, 56, of Austin, died on May 13, 2009 at his home.
Jeff was born Sept. 12, 1952 in Rochester, Minn., to Orvis and Estella Finseth. On Feb. 14, 1976. He was united in marriage to Deborah J. Hanley at the Little Brown Church in the Vale. Jeff worked for 29 years at Cedar Valley Services as a production supervisor. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters, taking them to the park, having tea parties and sharing snackies. He loved “the boys,” his three Bichons. He will be sadly missed by his best friend and wife, his children, grandchildren and all of those who appreciated his humor.
Survivors include his wife, Debi Finseth, Austin; children, Desiree (Jay) Milbridge, Duluth, Cale (Angela) Finseth, Sauk Rapids; granddaughters, Alexis, Ayla, Avery; mother, Estella Finseth, Rochester; father, Orvis Finseth, Chatfield; brothers, James (Kathy) Finseth, Hollandale, Wayne (Onalee) Finseth, Rochester; sister-in-law, Terri (Bob) Pervin, Rochester; niece, Michele Kruger, Rochester; nephews, Troy Kruger, Rochester, Gabe (Crystal) Finseth, Rochester; father-in-law, Aaron Hanley, Reed’s Landing; godparents, Bev and Dale Finseth, Fountain.
He is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; aunt and uncle, Gary and Diana Dietrich; mother-in-law, Jeanne Prouty.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Mayer Funeral Home with the Reverend Shirley Heeg officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday and one hour before the service at Mayer Funeral Home on Saturday. The honorary casket bearers will be Ron Jarvis, Gabe Finseth, Bob Pervin and Dallas Finseth.
