The Austin Daily Herald has introduced a new technology on its Web site to keep readers up-to-date on the construction status of the Mower County Jail and Justice Center.

The Herald staff, led by photographer Eric Johnson, has launched live streaming video of the construction process.

A Web cam has been installed on the Herald roof, located at 310 Second St. N.E., directly across from the construction site.

The feed will be running live at www.austindailyherald.com from approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day construction is in operation.

The Web cam feed was launched on the Web site Friday.
