Frank Dean Earl II, died May 10, 2009, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa.
Frank was born Nov. 4, 1935, in Austin to George and Erma Earl.
Frank attended grade school and graduated from Austin High School in 1953. Frank married Anita Wizenburgh in 1960, to which Frank III and Annette were born.
Frank spent time in the Air Force, serving in Goose Bay, Labrador and Minnesota. He worked for Hormel, F.W. Witt, Lewis Systems and Per Mar. Frank also raced power boats in his younger years, winning several David Berg Awards. He also liked to hunt ducks and go fishing in Canada.
Surviving Frank are his present wife, Sandra; his two children, Frank (Kim) and Annette (Dennis Williams); grandchildren, Rachel and Michael Williams of Decatur, Ill.; a sister, Jane (Dick Fulton), nephews and nieces of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; also many relatives in Minnesota.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and sister Carol Colburn.
Funeral Services were held 10:30 a.m. Friday, May, 15, 2009, at the Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, 510 East First. St., Ankeny, Iowa. Graveside services were 4 p.m. Friday at Calvary Cemetery in Austin. A visitation with family present was one hour prior to service time.
