David Anthony Wiese, age 59, of Blooming Prairie, died Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester.
David was born Nov. 26, 1949 in Austin to Keith R. “Butch” and Marie (Crowe) Wiese.  He graduated from Pacelli High School in 1967.  On Nov. 27, 1971 he was united in marriage to Marcia Helleck. 
David worked at Schammel Electric. He dearly loved his wife and children, and his grandchildren held a special place in his heart that no one else could touch. He spent many happy hours hunting and fishing with his family and friends and he liked nothing better than to prepare a meal for anyone that would sit and eat.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia Wiese, Blooming Prairie; children, Molly Wiese (Bill Taylor), Blooming Prairie, Matthew (Kelly) Wiese, Austin; four grandchildren, Emily, Zachary, Lillyan, Izzabelle; mother, Marie Wiese, Austin; twin brother, Dan (Julie) Wiese, Chaska, Minn.; brothers, Tom (Karin) Wiese, LaCrescent, Wis., Tim Wiese, Austin; sisters, Janice (Jerry) Mauss, New Albin, Iowa, Mary Jo (David) Swoboda, Austin.
He is preceded in death by his father, Keith “Butch” Wiese; brother-in-law, Mark; uncle, Nate Wiese.
A memorial service as a celebration of his life will be held 3 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2009 at David’s home, 90404 320th St., Blooming Prairie, with the Reverend Dale Tupper and Rev. Gene Leiter officiating.
