Cecilia Kay Johnson, age 60, of Goodview, Minn., died Friday, May 15, 2009 at Lake Winona Manor following a long battle with cancer.
Cecilia was born May 4, 1949, in Austin to Marvin and Dorothy (Lundene) Anderson. In 1967, she married Steven Johnson in Austin. She was formerly employed at JCPenney, Kmart, Watkins Manor/Winona Health and retired from Hal Leonard.
She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Winona. Cecilia enjoyed gardening, line dancing and decorating cakes.
Cecilia is survived by her husband Steven Johnson, Minnesota City, Minn.; three children: Jesse (Vicki) Johnson, Winona, Minn.; Jason Johnson, Owatonna, Minn.; and Theresa Johnson, Winona, Minn.; eight grandchildren: Ashley and Dylan Johnson, Thomas, Becky, Catie, Haylee, Anakin, and Ben; five sisters: Marilyn Bublitz, St. Ansgar, Iowa; Marlene Tate, Austin; Roselle Anderson, Austin; Gloria Anderson, Austin, Minn. and Kristine (Douglas) Kastenschmidt, Winona, Minn.; five brothers: DeVerne Anderson, Lyle, Minn.; Paul (Sharon) Anderson, Springfield, Ore.; Dale Anderson, Austin; John Anderson, Plainview, Minn.; and Ronald (Mary) Anderson, Austin; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services to remember Cecilia will be 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home, Winona, with the Rev. Brad Stadsvold, pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Winona, officiating. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery, Minnesota City, Minn.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Casket bearers will be: John Anderson, Ronald Anderson, Dale Anderson, DeVerne Anderson, Todd Hundt, Dave Maliszewski, Doug Kastenschmidt, and Dan Suessmith.
