Carolyn Holtorf of Austin died Friday, May 22 at Austin Medical Center following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family.
She was born March 17, 1931 in LaCrosse, Wis.  She enjoyed reading, camping, and playing a variety of card games, especially cribbage with her grandchildren.  She graduated from Lourdes High School in Rochester and attended St. Teresa College in Winona.  She moved to Austin in 1959 and raised her family.  After retiring she spent winters in San Juan, Texas.
She is survived by her 10 children: Mary (Dan) Clennon of Austin, Ann Williams of Medford, Mike (Cindy) of Austin, Don (Liz) of Faribault, Tom (Colleen) of Lisle, Ill, Bob (Jolene) of Lyle, Paul (Michelle) of Austin, Kathy (Jim) Jackson of Medford, Steve (Mary) of Austin, and Tony (Julie) of Columbia Heights, her 30 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren  as well as her sisters Mae & Beverly and brothers Charles and Irvin.  She was preceded in death by her husband Don, her brother Mark, sister Lucille, and her parents and her granddaughter Gina Clennon.  Visitation services will be Tuesday from 4 – 7 at Mayer Funeral Home and funeral services will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church Wednesday at 10:30 A.M.  There will be a 6:30 pm wake service on Tuesday at Mayer Funeral Home.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.  Memorials preferred to the Austin CatholicSchools or Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life.
